Tajweed is the set of rules that tells us how each letter of the Quran should be pronounced: where it comes from in the mouth, how long it is held and how it changes next to other letters. Al Burooj's Online Tajweed Classes teach these rules step by step, so you recite the Quran the way it was revealed.
Learning rules from a chart is not enough. Our Qaris listen to you recite, correct each mistake as it happens and show you how the rule sounds in real verses, until correct recitation becomes a habit.

From knowing the rules to applying them in every verse
The course covers the articulation points of the letters (Makharij), their qualities (Sifat), the rules of Noon Sakin and Tanween, Meem Sakin, the types of Madd, Qalqalah, and the rules of stopping and starting. Each topic is practised in real Quranic verses, not just on paper.
Lessons are adapted to each student. Children learn by copying the correct sound from their tutor, while adults also learn the reasons behind each rule and how to recognise it in the text.
Four areas that together make your recitation correct and confident.
Learn the articulation point of every Arabic letter, with extra practice on sounds that are often confused, such as ح and ه, س and ص, or ذ, ز and ظ.
Master Izhar, Idgham, Iqlab and Ikhfa, and the related rules of Meem Sakin, through listening and practice in real verses.
Learn the main types of Madd and how many counts each one takes, so your recitation keeps a correct and steady rhythm.
Practise the echoing letters of Qalqalah, the nasal sound of Ghunnah, and how to stop and restart correctly at the end of a verse.
